Cars have played an important role in many movies throughout history. They can be used to set the tone of a scene, reflect the personalities of the characters, or even become central to the plot. Ahead of the Oscars ceremony taking place this weekend we take a look at some of the Toyota, Peugeot, Lexus, Mazda, Kia, Skoda, Nissan, and MG cars that have appeared in feature films.
Toyota Supra – The Fast and the Furious
The Toyota Supra is a sports car that is featured in The Fast and the Furious franchise. The car is driven by the character Brian O'Conner, played by the late Paul Walker. The car's sleek design and high-performance engine make it a fan favourite, and it has become one of the most iconic cars in the series.
The latest version of this car is the GR Supra which is proving as popular as ever.
Peugeot 406 – Taxi
The Peugeot 406 is a mid-size car that is featured in the French action-comedy film Taxi. The car is driven by the main character, a taxi driver named Daniel, who uses the car to get around the city of Marseille. Lexus LC 500 – Black Panther
The Lexus LC 500 is a luxury sports coupe that made a notable appearance in the 2018 Marvel film "Black Panther". The car was driven by the character T'Challa (played by Chadwick Boseman) and featured a sleek and modern design that perfectly matched the futuristic world of Wakanda.In the film, the LC 500 was featured in a high-speed chase scene through the streets of Busan, South Korea. The car's black exterior and sharp angles gave it a menacing and powerful look, which perfectly matched the character of T'Challa. The LC 500's performance was also put on display during the chase scene, as it effortlessly weaved through traffic and handled sharp turns with ease.
