Official Fuel Consumption in MPG (l/100km) and CO2 emissions (g/km) for the New 408 Plug-in Hybrid are: Combined 97.8(2.9) - 109(2.5) and CO2 56 - 60g/km. How does the WLTP work?
The range of an electric car according to the WLTP (Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicles Test Procedure) is measured under standardised laboratory conditions. The test simulates a mixed route including city, road, and highway driving, with variations in speed and acceleration.
It lasts 30 minutes and covers about 14 miles, with a controlled temperature of around 23°C. The range is calculated by measuring energy consumption (kWh/100 km) and the total battery capacity. However, in real-world conditions, factors such as weather, driving style, and air conditioning use can reduce this range.
