A mild hybrid electric vehicle (MHEV) is a type of car or van that utilises an internal combustion engine supported by an electric motor. By working together, the system as a whole boosts performance and reduces emissions, allowing you to get more miles out of a tank of fuel than a standard ICE powered vehicle.
Similar to full hybrid vehicles, drivers don't have to plug in MHEVs to charge them, meaning no range anxiety when you're out on the road. MHEVs do not offer all-electric driving in all-electric mode, however, so you won't be able to benefit from the cleanest means of driving, should you opt for a MHEV.
