Hybrid and Electric cars and vans

Electric cars are becoming more and more popular as the technology improves and major manufacturers begin to develop their Electric Vehicle range with new Electric Car and Electric Van models appearing on the market.

The best electric cars are fun to drive, extremely quiet, have no harmful emissions and are cheap to run. The range or distance electric cars can travel between charges continues to increase as the technology develops, and the number of electric vehicle (EV) charging points across the country is also increasing, making them a more practical choice for many people.

The RRG Group through our franchise partners, Toyota, Peugeot, Nissan, Mazda, Kia, Lexus and Skoda have a range of 100% Electric and plug-in hybrid models covering city cars, superminis, SUVs and vans currently available or coming soon..

Powered solely by electricity, 100% electric vehicles are powered by a motor and a large high-voltage battery in place of an engine and fuel tank . Generating more torque (turning force) than traditional petrol or diesel engines, with the ability to deliver this torque from a standing start they have excellent power delivery – which makes them surprisingly quick.

There is no need for a traditional gearbox in an electric vehicle – which operates with only “drive” and “reverse” options. They also provide a much smoother and more direct acceleration than drivers may have experienced with traditional automatic gearboxes.

Typically costing 2 or 3p per mile in electricity, versus 12 to 15p per mile for a petrol or diesel car, Electric cars are very cheap to run in comparison to those running on traditional fosil fuels. Meaning that the average driver covering 12,000 miles per year could save up to £125 on fuel costs every month.
