Enyaq L&K: technical upgrades and extra elegance

The new car, named after the founders of the Czech car company Václav Laurin and Václav Klement, will be available with two drive variants - rear axle only or all-wheel drive. In both cases, the cars have a new and improved drivetrain system, so the total power output of the car is always 210 kW. The rear-wheel-drive variant of the Enyaq L&K 85 can do 0-100 km/h in 6.7 seconds, almost two seconds faster than the current rear-wheel-drive electric car. It also offers an improved range of 570 kilometres* on the WLTP cycle on a single charge. The all-wheel drive version of the Enyaq L&K 85x then accelerates to 100 km/h in 6.6 seconds and has a range of 550 kilometres on the WLTP cycle on a single charge. Both cars have a top speed of 180 km/h.

The Škoda Enyaq L&K comes in two body versions.

The improvement in range is thanks to optimised battery management, with the ability to charge from 10% to 80% in under 30 minutes. In addition, Laurin & Klement has a battery preheat function that all Enyaq family cars will get from the 2024 model year onwards, with production starting later this year. The preheat can be activated automatically, for example when the car is heading to a charging station according to navigation, or drivers can activate it themselves in the car’s on-board system. The Enyaq L&K has also undergone significant improvements, with the ME4.0 software that introduces a new user interface matching the brand’s new visual identity, among other things.

Technology upgrade

The new environment also brings improved controls. The entire menu structure has been redesigned to make it clearer and easier to find and use popular features. Now, for example, buttons in the corners of the start-up screen make it easy for the user to access settings, the home screen or apps. At the top of the display there is space for five quick shortcuts to favourite functions or car settings, and up to three selectable apps can be placed in the bottom bar. The new infotainment system gives the user a better overview of the battery level, simplified control of the ventilation and air conditioning and new maps in the navigation system. The brand’s fresh visual identity is also reflected in the graphics of the Virtual Cockpit instrument panel and the head-up display.

Distinctive style

In addition to these upgrades, the Enyaq L&K has also been given a number of aesthetic changes and equipment features that are specific to this version. The car will be available with two interior design lines, for instance. The L&K Shell Design Selection features beige leather interior upholstery, but L&K Black Design Selection with black leather is another option. The front seats have a design exclusive to the L&K version and are fitted with heating, ventilation and massage functions. The (heated) multifunction steering wheel features the L&K logo and details in a new unique Dark Chrome shade.

This matches the details in the exclusive Platinum Grey shade on the model-specific bumpers, for example. The L&K logo can also be found on the front mudguards, while the window frames and wiper blades are in chrome. Chrome is also found on the car’s front grille frame, which comes in a Crystal Face design illuminated with 131 LEDs as standard. The wheels of the Enyaq L&K models have a specific design, and can be 20 or 21 inches in diameter.
