RRG Huddersfield Toyota have today received recognition for their support to local charity Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice, a charity that provides support to babies, children and families in West Yorkshire.
The centre has been a supporter of the Charity for a number of years helping to promote the Hospice at local events including the West Yorkshire Motorsport Festival and is now a Platinum Partner of the Hospice. Part of the support that RRG Huddersfield Toyota has been able to provide over the years is the use of a new Toyota car, this year the centre has donated a new Aygo X to help staff members in their various activities.
Forget Me Not Hospice Platinum Partner President Mr Ken Davy, a prominent member of the Huddersfield business community and owner of the town’s Huddersfield Giants Super League Team visited the dealership on Huddersfield Road to present a statuette in recognition of the support provided to Clive Mattimoe, General Manager, Chris Hodgson, Sales Manager, Steve Kirby, Aftersales Manager and Ella Harrison, Handover Specialist and Charity liaison.
Upon receiving the award, Mr Mattimoe said “We are delighted to be a Platinum Partner and continue our support of the fantastic work done by the Forget Me Not Hospice. It’s always a pleasure to see Ken and I was happy to be able to introduce him to some members of the RRG Huddersfield Toyota team and to receive the statuette in recognition of our support”
Mr Davy was thankful for the support commenting “The ongoing support of Clive and the team at RRG Huddersfield Toyota has made a significant impact on the valuable work that Forget Me Not Hospice does in support of families at the most difficult time in Huddersfield and throughout West Yorkshire and it is my pleasure to show our recognition of that support.”
He went on to discuss his aims as President of the Forget Me Not Hospice Platinum Partners: “We are currently seeking new Platinum Partners and it is my aim to reach at least 100 partners in the coming year. If we can do that, we would hope to generate an annual £1million contribution in funding which would provide a significant contribution toward the outreach expansion activity and support that Forget Me Not Hospice provides.”
RRG Huddersfield Toyota have been involved in a wide range of innovative activities in support of the Hospice over the years including a Basketball Challenge, Sega Rally Competition and 24hr Table Tennis Marathon as well as volunteering time to assist in the construction of a path to the Greenhouse at Russell House Hospice.
