PEUGEOT CELEBRATES DOUBLE WIN AT 2021 VAN FLEET WORLD GREAT BRITISH FLEET AWARDS

PEUGEOT has continued its award-winning streak in 2021, with the e-Expert claiming the highly coveted ‘Van of the Year’ award at the 2021 Van Fleet World Great British Fleet Awards. PEUGEOT also won the ‘Best EV Van’ title in the EV Fleet World Awards.

The PEUGEOT e-Expert was praised by Van Fleet World’s expert panel of judges for its impressive real-life all-electric range, its all-encompassing on-board features and advanced driver assistance technologies. The e-Expert also took home the prestigious title of ‘Best EV Van 2021’ in the EV Fleet World Awards.

The latest Van Fleet World Awards wins take PEUGEOT’s tally of prizes of up to eleven this year.

Peugeot e-Expert Electric Van Award

Julie David, Managing Director of PEUGEOT UK, said: “I am thrilled to hear the news that the e-Expert won two prestigious prizes at this year’s Van Fleet World Awards. We are pleased to be able to offer van drivers a choice of vehicles to suit their daily needs, without having to worry about additional running costs such as Congestion Zone or ULEZ charges when travelling in and around London. We are proud to offer stress-free driving with 0g of CO2 whilst still providing a practical vehicle for van drivers to use.”

The award-winning PEUGEOT e-Expert van has all the strengths and specification of the successful Expert range with an electric powertrain. Customers have the choice between a 50kWh and 75kWh battery, depending on their needs, which is connected to a 100kW (136hp) electric motor and is capable of up to 205 miles from a single charge. Supporting up to 100kW rapid charging, a 0-80% charge can be completed in 30 minutes for the 50kWh battery and 45 minutes for the 75kWh, making it flexible for every fleet and private user.

The PEUGEOT e-Expert also won the prestigious title of ‘Best EV Van’ in the EV Fleet World Awards. The e-Expert’s popularity comes from its best-in-class electric range, reduced maintenance requirements and unrestricted freedom to access cities with emission restriction zones. Van Fleet World praised PEUGEOT’s work towards its electrification strategy and the option for professionals to choose a model based on their needs, which ultimately helped the brand to stand above competitors.

John Kendall, Editor, Van Fleet World, said: “Recent growth in the electric and hybrid van sector has been impressive even through the pandemic and lockdown. One van stands out clearly from the crowd though, because of its competitive pricing and long range potential, with a WLTP combined range of up to 143 or 205 miles according to the battery chosen. The Peugeot e-Expert is the value for money champion in the van sector. Its pricing really makes this electric van an affordable alternative to petrol or diesel power, while its driving range means that operators who may have been put off before could find that an electric van is completely viable for them.”

The judges were similarly impressed with the PEUGEOT Partner, which was highly commended in the Van Fleet World ‘Compact High-Cube Van of the Year’ award. Its sleek design, impressive 1,000 kg payload and innovative interior technologies were praised by Van Fleet World’s judging panel. The PEUGEOT Partner will also be available as a fully electric variant, the new e-Partner, from November 2021. The launch of e-Partner will ensure PEUGEOT has a fully electrified LCV range by the end of this year.
