The Lexus ES 300h hybrid electric saloon has been honoured with the title Executive Car of the Year in the 2023 Professional Driver awards, announced at a presentation evening in Brighton yesterday.
The magazine’s readers voted for the ES, which then emerged the top-rated model from a shortlist of more than 40 contenders, rigorously assessed by a team of more than 100 specialist judges.
Mark Bursa, Professional Driver Editor, said: “Executive chauffeurs are increasingly taking on longer journeys, such as inter-city trips or airport runs, so the ability to refuel quickly at a filling station still carries a lot of value. Our readers perhaps don’t yet believe the recharging networks are up to the task. This is one of the reasons why the Lexus ES 300h hybrid beat several electric cars to the award. It’s also a very comfortable and well-built car, while Lexus reliability carries a lot of weight in the market.”
