HCC Oulton Park Gold Cup 2018

One of the most fun and exciting annual events comes to Oulton Park this August Bank Holiday weekend, with the HCC Oulton Park Gold Cup 2018 running from Saturday, August 25 until Monday, August 27, with a selection of races, processions, and events all celebrating classic vehicles in the summer sun.

In fact, we’re regular visitors to the racetrack throughout the year, joining the team at Oulton Park in celebrating all things motoring. We cannot wait until this weekend’s event, which promises to bring together a selection of classic vehicles and combines racing and exhibitions with live entertainment.

The timetable of races during the meeting is extensive and takes in models from all eras. For example, the Super Touring Car Trophy will feature famed stars of the 90s such as John Cleland and Patrick Watts - two of the most renowned competitors in the era’s British Touring Car Championship. For those with a penchant for more classically styled racing vehicles, the Historic Formula Ford race will feature magnificent Formula Ford 1600 vehicles registered prior to 1972.

There will even be a selection of rally vehicles providing demonstrations, classic Formula 3 vehicles dating from between 1971 and 1983, and much, much more.

Of course, it’s not only on the track that you can find entertainment. Off track you have the opportunity to explore models in the classic car display; view the supercar selection of vehicles; sit back and enjoy traditional military demonstrations; sample local products in the artisan market; and, on Sunday morning, take an exclusive pit walk before racing begins. Children can even enjoy the dedicated kids’ zone complete with rides and bouncy castles.
