With the support of the Toyota Community Fund, RRG Toyota Huddersfield have provided the funding for Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice first Christmas Fayre!
Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice care for families who have a child with a life-shortening condition. With many different forms of support and treatments, the hospice helps the child and their family in every way they can, from different forms of therapies or even just giving the family a break by helping with care.
We have supported Forget Me Not for a number of years and are proud Platinum Partners. Part of the support that RRG Huddersfield Toyota has been able to provide over the years is the use of a new Toyota car, this year the centre has donated the use of a new Aygo X to help staff members in their various activities. We have also helped raise money for the charity at various events, including Yorkshire Motorsport Festival and more recently, Honley Show.
Louise Houston, a service advisor at RRG Huddersfield, also took part in a skydive to raise nearly £800. She travelled to North Lincolnshire to brave the skydive, all for a wonderful cause.
The Christmas Fayre is being held at Russell House, Huddersfield on Sunday 26th November from 1pm – 4pm. The event with include a range of stalls, festive treats, music and Santa’s grotto. The Community Fund will help to fund the whole event, including hire of Slaithwaite Brass Band and Lindley Choir, catering supplies, tombola stock and Santa presents. This event will help fundraise for the hospice and bring light to the essential work they do.
At RRG Huddersfield, our staff members are getting involved and volunteering to help before the event and on the day. From setting up lighting to wrapping presents, the team will be hands on to ensure a smooth running event.
Clive Mattimoe, the dealer principal, gave his thoughts on the Community Fund - “RRG Toyota Huddersfield have been championing the work of the Forget Me Not Trust now for 10 years and have been involved in many projects that have brought much needed funds to the Hospice. We are delighted that we have been able to provide additional support to the Trust through the Toyota Community fund for the second time, by funding the Christmas Fayre this year.
There is no better time to celebrate with family and friends than Christmas and we hope that the small part we are playing in this event will help the families to create lasting memories with their loved ones.
Thank you to all at the Hospice for the amazing work you do and we look forward to enjoying the festivities with you all.”
Vicky Lough, events manager at Forget Me Not said – “We’re very excited to be holding a Christmas fayre at Russell House this year, we’re hoping it will be a really magical event. Of course, we can only do that thanks to the involvement and generosity of RRG Huddersfield and the Toyota Community Fund. Their help with funding and providing volunteers before and during the event means we can celebrate the festive season in style and raise vital funds to help us support families this Christmas and beyond.”
The staff at RRG Huddersfield can’t wait to get involved and see the event come together at the hospice!
