Two of PEUGEOT’s full electric models have been recognised at Fleet World’s Great British Fleet Awards 2022, with the e-208 crowned ‘Best EV Supermini’ and the e-Expert named the ‘Best EV Van’.

This is the second consecutive year that these models have picked up these awards; recognition at the Great British Fleet Awards continues the impressive run of form for PEUGEOT’s growing range of fully electric vehicles.

Previously named European Car of the Year in 2020, the PEUGEOT e-208 has continued to impress industry experts ever since. The e-208 comes with an electric 50kWh battery connected to 100kW (136hp) zero-tailpipe emissions powertrain and is capable of up to 225 miles (WLTP) from a single charge.

John Challen, Editor, Fleet World, said:"An impressive range from the small car is just one of the many redeeming features of the e-208. Drivers love the performance offered by the EV powertrain and also the spacious and well-equipped interior.”

Available with a choice of a 50kWh or 75kWh battery, offering up to 143 and 205 miles of range respectively (WLTP), and a choice of three vehicle lengths, the e-Expert is designed to suit the needs of all drivers. Whilst the e-Expert is part of PEUGEOT’s electric Light Commercial Vehicle (e-LCV) portfolio, the van makes no compromise in terms of volume or practicality when compared to its diesel counterpart, offering all the advantages of the electric powertrain: lower running costs, ease of driving, immediate throttle response, high torque and no odours, vibrations or tailpipe emissions.

John Kendall, Editor, Van Fleet World, said:"PEUGEOT is already working on a hydrogen fuel cell variant of the e- Expert, which will offer an alternative to the battery packs on offer. We will have to wait a while before that arrives and in the meantime, the e-Expert forms an essential part of PEUGEOT’s electric LCV range, offering electric versions of its entire LCV range. The e-Expert offers two battery sizes, a choice of drive modes, good range and competitive pricing.”

Julie David, Managing Director, PEUGEOT, UK, said: “I’m extremely proud to see that PEUGEOT’s e-208 and e-Expert continue to impress both industry experts and customers in such competitive sectors. Our range of electric vehicles aims to provide drivers and fleet operators with practical models that allow them to experience all the advantages they may have found with their petrol and diesel models, but with all the benefits of going electric.”
