PEUGEOT E-208 GTi: ORDERS NOW OPEN FOR NEW ELECTRIC HOT HATCH

The new PEUGEOT E-208 GTi is now open for orders, available from £34,995 MRRP OTR, with the arrival of the first-ever fully electric GTi marking a new era for the iconic badge.

The most powerful and best-performing model in the B-segment, the E-208 GTi is engineered and designed in France by PEUGEOT Sport and PEUGEOT Design, reinterpreting the GTi DNA with modern technology and styling for pure driving pleasure.

The E-208 GTi continues the legacy of renowned PEUGEOT hot hatch performance, powered by a 281 PS electric motor paired with motorsport-derived control software, accelerating from 0-62mph in just 5.5 seconds and producing 345Nm of torque.

With a range of up to 233 miles (WLTP) and PEUGEOT Care providing up to eight years/100,000 miles of coverage*, the new E-208 GTi upholds the badge's reputation for outstanding performance, dynamic handling and everyday usability, which was established more than 40 years ago with the legendary 205 GTi.

Attainably priced at £34,995 MRRP OTR, finance options are also available starting from £349 per month. The E-208 GTi also qualifies for the UK government’s £1,500 Electric Car Grant (ECG), alongside many of the brand’s other electric models.

GTi DNA FROM THE OUTSIDE-IN

The attractive PEUGEOT E-208 GTi builds on the sleek, athletic proportions of the E-208 with a heightened performance-focused design that remains true to the GTi philosophy of understated sportiness.

Its compact dimensions, muscular shoulders and short overhangs provide the ideal foundation, while a lowered ride height and wider tracks create a more confident stance inspired by four decades of GTi heritage. The exclusive 18-inch pepper pot design of the alloys is inspired by the legendary 205 GTi while also improving brake cooling, and subtly flared wheel arches accommodate the increased tracks without compromising the car’s clean, modern lines.

A bespoke front spoiler and gloss black rear aerodynamic diffuser, incorporating a new LED rear fog light, further enhance the E-208 GTi’s dynamic appearance with elegance.

A signature three-claw PEUGEOT lighting design reinforces its distinctive character, with illuminated front claws extending into the full LED headlamps and three horizontal LED claws at the rear emphasising the car’s planted stance. Red detailing – a defining GTi hallmark – is applied subtly across the grille, headlights, front PEUGEOT emblem, wheel arch extensions, front brake callipers, 208 GTi C-pillar badges and rear spoiler.

An exterior colour palette of seven paint finishes, with several evoking the spirit of the original 205 GTi, includes the new Miramar Blue alongside Elixir Red, Okenite White, Nera Black, Cumulus Grey, Selenium Grey and Agueda Yellow.

SPORTY, PERFORMANCE-FOCUSED INTERIOR

Inside, the PEUGEOT E-208 GTi’s immersive cabin has been designed to maximise driving pleasure, with the PEUGEOT i-Cockpit® creating a dedicated GTi environment that combines performance-focused ergonomics with everyday comfort.

A striking red and black colour scheme pays homage to the iconic 205 GTi, with red carpets, floor mats and seatbelts immediately setting a sporting tone, complemented by red contrast stitching across the dashboard, door panels and compact steering wheel.

The exclusive front seats also draw inspiration from the legendary 205 GTi, featuring a central red insert and distinctive red mesh detailing, while integrated headrests and enhanced lateral support ensure occupants remain comfortable and securely connected to the car during spirited driving. The compact steering wheel is trimmed in perforated leather with Alcantara® at the top and bottom, finished with a red 208 GTi emblem, and works alongside a bespoke steering calibration to deliver sharper, more direct responses.

Completing the experience, GTi-specific digital graphics and performance displays, red ambient lighting as standard – with seven additional colour options available – and a selectable sound ambience linked to motor speed create a fully immersive cockpit that reinforces the E-208 GTi’s dynamic character while allowing drivers to tailor the atmosphere to their preference.

DRIVER CONVENIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY

Everyday comfort and convenience match exhilarating performance with the latest in-car technology, including the PEUGEOT i-Connect Advanced infotainment system, which features TomTom navigation with a connected route planner that intelligently optimises charging stops and battery range for longer journeys.

Wireless Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ are included, while drivers can also control key vehicle functions using intuitive "OK PEUGEOT" voice recognition. The MyPEUGEOT® smartphone app allows remote pre-conditioning of the cabin, charging schedule management and journey planning directly from a mobile device. In addition, Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability enables the E-208 GTi to power compatible external electrical devices for added convenience.

BEST-IN-CLASS, MOTORSPORT INSPIRED PERFORMANCE

PEUGEOT Sport engineers combined the unique power and performance of the E-208 GTi with agile, dynamic handling that delivers instinctive driving pleasure.

The PEUGEOT E-208 GTi uses the same 54 kWh gross battery (51kWh useable) as the E-208, but its management has been adapted to meet the exceptional demands of the GTi motor.

With the best power-to-weight ratio in its segment (182bhp/tonne), the PEUGEOT E-208 GTi delivers outstanding acceleration. From 0 to 62 mph in just 5.5 seconds, backed up by a 1000m standing start in 25.8s and 3.2s from 50 to 80mph. The powertrain produces an impressive 345Nm of torque and top speed is limited to 112mph.

Depending on the free choice of high-performance tyres, the PEUGEOT E-208 GTi offers a combined WLTP range of up to 233 miles with Hankook Ventus S1 Evo3 tyres (no cost option) or 219 miles with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S performance tyres (as standard).

Charging times range from under 30 minutes for 20%-80% on a 100 kW DC charger, up to 4 hours 40 minutes on a 7.4 kW wall box.
