Lexus continues to lead the field as Britain’s best car manufacturer, according to the Auto Express 2018 Driver Power survey.
Based on the opinions of more than 80,000 UK motorists, the results of this year’s survey show Lexus topping the rankings when it comes to interior quality, comfort and build quality.
Lexus’s advances in vehicle safety, including the wide provision of Lexus Safety System+ active technologies, helped secure it the highest score for safety.
Although a luxury brand, Lexus also performed strongly on running costs, placed fourth overall. Its leadership in efficient self-charging hybrid technology earned it second place in the engine and gearbox category.
Steve Fowler, Auto Express Editor-in-Chief, said: “This is the third time in four years that Lexus has topped our Driver Power manufacturer league table, proving that when it comes to satisfied customers it leads the way. With a growing product range that’s getting better and better, it’s a brand that is setting new standards for other premium car makers to aim for.”
Ewan Shepherd, Director of Lexus in the UK, said: “We have a proud record of success in the Driver Power survey, achieved thanks to a combination of great products and a fantastic effort from everyone in the business – especially our retail partners – to keep delivering higher standards of quality and customer service.
“This year promises even more from our brand, with the new RX L seven-seat crossover, UX compact crossover and, for the first time in the UK, ES saloon, so we hope to connect with an even wider customer base than ever before.”
