Electrification made emotional: Kia expands GT line-up with EV3 GT, EV4 GT and EV5 GT

Kia is expanding its fully electric GT line-up in Europe with three new performance-focused models: the EV3 GT, EV4 GT and EV5 GT. First presented at the 2026 Brussels Motor Show, the three models bring Kia’s GT philosophy to a wider range of customers and vehicle segments, joining the existing EV6 GT and EV9 GT.

The new models apply Kia’s performance-focused GT character across three distinct body styles – a compact SUV, low-slung hatchback and fastback, and a versatile C-SUV – while retaining the comfort, practicality and refinement expected from Kia’s electric range.

All three feature dual-motor all-wheel drive (AWD), GT Mode, Virtual Gear Shift, Active Sound Design, dedicated GT interfaces and distinctive styling. Together, these technologies are designed to make electric driving feel more responsive and engaging, while maintaining the usability required for everyday driving.

“With EV3 GT, EV4 GT and EV5 GT, we are bringing the Kia GT experience to new segments and making electric performance accessible to a broader range of customers,” said Pablo Martinez Masip, Vice President Product, Marketing & Customer Experience at Kia Europe. “Each model has its own character, but they share the same ambition. The GT models make electric driving feel more responsive, more connected and more emotionally engaging, while retaining the everyday usability our customers expect.”

Building on the Kia GT legacy

The Kia GT badge has become synonymous with a more emotional approach to performance, evolving from the Ceed GT and ProCeed GT to the Stinger GT and, more recently, the fully electric EV6 GT and EV9 GT.

The new EV3 GT, EV4 GT and EV5 GT broaden that philosophy across the heart of Kia’s electric line-up. Rather than focusing solely on outright acceleration, Kia’s GT models are designed around the complete driving experience, combining responsive performance, confident handling, distinctive design and technology with everyday comfort.

GT-specific features include Launch Control, Performance Timer, Electric Dynamic Torque Vectoring Control and dedicated driving modes. Virtual Gear Shift provides a more tactile sense of acceleration and deceleration, while Active Sound Design adds dynamic sound feedback linked to speed, acceleration and torque.

The GT identity is also reflected in the design, with exclusive exterior and interior details, neon-green accents, semi-bucket sports seats, dedicated GT steering wheels and 20-inch GT alloy wheels giving each model a distinctive performance character.

EV3 GT: compact and energetic

The EV3 GT brings Kia’s performance philosophy to the compact SUV segment, combining compact dimensions with strong electric performance and everyday practicality.

Its dual-motor AWD system delivers 215kW (292PS) and 468Nm of torque, enabling 0-to-100km/h acceleration in 5.7 seconds. GT-specific features include GT Mode, Launch Control, Electric Dynamic Torque Vectoring Control, Virtual Gear Shift and Active Sound Design.

Inside, semi-bucket sports seats with suede materials and neon-green accents, a Performance Timer and Harman Kardon premium sound system create a more focused and engaging environment.

EV4 GT: focused on the driver

The EV4 GT brings the Kia GT philosophy to a lower, more road-focused body style, available as both a hatchback and fastback.

Its dual-motor AWD system produces 215kW (292PS) and 468Nm of torque, with 0-to-100km/h acceleration in 5.6 seconds. The fastback offers a WLTP range of up to 537km, while the hatchback can travel up to 505km on a single charge.

The EV4 GT places particular emphasis on agility and driver connection, with a low centre of gravity and GT-specific chassis technologies designed to provide precise steering, responsive handling and greater cornering confidence.

The cabin features GT-exclusive sports seats, a three-spoke steering wheel, neon-green detailing, Performance Timer and Harman Kardon premium audio, reinforcing the model's driver-focused character.

EV5 GT: electric performance meets versatility

The EV5 GT extends Kia’s GT line-up into the C-SUV segment, combining performance with the space, comfort and versatility expected from a larger family SUV.

Its dual-motor AWD system produces 225kW (306PS) and 480Nm of torque, allowing it to accelerate from 0-to-100km/h in 6.2 seconds. Powered by an 81.4kWh battery, the EV5 GT offers a WLTP range of up to 476km.

The EV5 GT focuses on confident performance and composure, while retaining the practicality required for everyday family use and longer journeys. It also features Kia Pet Mode, which helps maintain a comfortable cabin temperature when a pet is briefly left inside the vehicle.

Technology designed to enhance the driving experience

Across all three models, Kia has combined hardware, software and sensory feedback to make electric performance feel more engaging.

GT Mode adjusts key vehicle parameters including motor response, steering and suspension, while Electric Dynamic Torque Vectoring Control helps improve cornering stability. The suspension has also been tuned through testing across a range of European roads and conditions, balancing sharper handling with everyday comfort.

Drivers can choose between Normal, Sport and GT modes, each providing a different balance of ride comfort, responsiveness and handling. Steering, braking, suspension and torque delivery are all coordinated to create a more connected driving experience.

Virtual Gear Shift further differentiates the GT models by simulating gear changes and shift feel, while Active Sound Design provides a distinctive soundscape that responds to the vehicle’s performance. Dedicated digital displays and Performance Timer functionality complete the GT experience.

Expanding Kia's electric performance range

The arrival of the EV3 GT, EV4 GT and EV5 GT gives Kia a broader electric performance line-up, joining the EV6 GT and EV9 GT.

Each model offers a different interpretation of the GT philosophy, from the compact and agile EV3 GT to the driver-focused EV4 GT and versatile EV5 GT. Together, they demonstrate Kia’s approach to electric performance – combining technology, distinctive design and engaging driving characteristics without compromising the comfort and practicality expected from an everyday electric vehicle.
