The Mazda MX-5 RF incorporates everything the world knows and loves about the Mazda MX-5, but with the addition of an advanced “retractable fastback” roof. Built for pure driving pleasure, the Mazda MX-5 RF showcases the best of Mazda engineering, technology and design. It is available in SE-L Nav and Sport Nav variants.
Featuring a retractable hardtop roof that incorporates Mazda’s award-winning KODO: Soul of Motion design language, the Mazda MX-5 RF has a more elegant appeal than its sporty sibling. The exterior is adorned with 16” silver alloy wheels, dual exhaust pipes and LED headlights with daytime running lights as standard. The Sport Nav variant upgrades the wheels to 17” rims and adds parking sensors and dusk-sensing headlights.
Inside, the Mazda MX-5 RF has just two seats and a simple cockpit that is designed to let the driver focus entirely on the road ahead. The SE-L Nav trim has a basic specification that includes headrest speakers and a leather-covered steering wheel and gear stick. Sport Nav adds leather upholstery and heated seats into the mix.
Retractable Fast Roof Technology
Advanced technology has made the retractable fastback roof of the MX-5 RF one of the fastest in the world. Operated by a single switch, it comprises of three roof modules each crafted from the highest quality materials chosen for their rigidity and weight, resulting in optimum performance.
Mazda offers this car with just one engine: the SKYACTIV-G petrol unit with a choice of 131ps or 160ps. Equipped with the more powerful unit, the Mazda MX-5 RF sprints from zero to 62mph in around eight seconds. With perfectly balanced 50:50 weight distribution and world-famous handling dynamics, the Mazda MX-5 RF is a lot of fun to drive.
It may be a lean, mean driving machine, but the Mazda MX-5 RF also provides plenty of technology to keep you safe, happy and entertained while you are behind the wheel. Climate control and cruise control are fitted as standard across the board, along with the MZD-Connect infotainment system with a 7” colour touch-screen. Each variant has a full set of airbags and traction control as standard, while the Sport Nav trim adds an advanced lane departure warning system.
