Lexus honoured with Automotive Management’s Manufacturer of the Year title for “being the best it’s ever been”

Lexus has been recognised for all-round excellence with the Manufacturer of the Year title in the 2024 Automotive Management (AM) Awards.

Announced at a presentation dinner last night, Lexus was selected as the country’s top car-maker by a judging panel that included leading figures from the UK’s retail motor industry, automotive consultants and AM’s editorial team.

Tim Rose, AM Editor, said:“It’s a deserving win, the Lexus new car range is the best it has ever been, with superb, sharp styling, the latest technology and precise craftsmanship. Its used cars are in great demand thanks to their reliability and strong residual values. Its UK retailers are a happy bunch, consistently keeping it on the podium in the bi-annual dealer satisfaction surveys. And happy dealers mean they’ll go the extra mile to have happy customers, something that’s certainly evidenced by customer loyalty and love for the brand.”

Chris Hayes, Director of Lexus in the UK, commented: “This award comes at a pivotal moment in the history of the Lexus brand as we complete a comprehensive revision of our current model range and prepare for full electrification in the years leading up to the end of the decade. At the same time as we are introducing game-changing new products such as the all-new LBX and the all-electric RZ 450e, we remain faithful to the core qualities that define our brand – craftsmanship luxury, rewarding driving experiences and customer service that’s second to none.”

The all-new LBX is leading Lexus into new market territory, a compact SUV that has been designed and engineered to reach a younger European customer base with a “premium casual” feel. While the model offers new and extensive choices when it comes to style and ambience, the execution lacks nothing in terms of Lexus’s signature quality and attention to detail. Equally there is no compromise in equipment specifications that include many features more often found on larger, more expensive models.
