The Lexus Public Charging Network is a new subscription based model that gives you access to multiple different charge points across Europe.
The Lexus Charge Network features work with your Lexus Link App meaning you will be able to manage all of your EV information in one place.
The Lexus Charge Network is provided by Digital Charging Solutions (DCS) who have established the biggest charge network across Europe with over 150,000 connectors available, this includes thousands of connectors in the UK.
The Lexus Charging Network is free for all full EV models up until the 30th November 2023 and free for 1 month for compatible plug-in Hybrid models like the NX 450h+. After this, the subscription renews at just £4.95 per month. All invoices for the electricity used are stored on your My Lexus Web account for easy viewing and are billed at the end of each month.
Once you have subscribed to the Lexus Charging Network you will be able to access the features within your Lexus Link App, this will enable you to:
-Find charge points near you, with a filter tool to find the charge point that suits your needs the best.
-Navigate to charge points
-See charge point details and if its free or in use.
If you are interested in signing up for the Lexus Charging Network please create a My Lexus account or use your existing My Lexus details to log in and sign up for your charging network account.
Costs vary greatly for public EV charging. Depending on how much charge is required, the cost of electricity for each network, and what type of public charge point is used. Some will be free to use, while rapid charging will typically be priced higher than fast charging, due to convenience and higher charge point installation costs.
The UX 300e and NX450h+ comes with 2 charging cables, a 3-pin AC charging cable for standard UK home sockets and a mode 3 AC charging cable for use with public AC charge points when on the go. All DC charging points already have a cable attached meaning there is no need for you to use extra equipment. Any additional cables can be purchased from your Lexus Centre.
