Lexus delivers significant ownership cost savings with new RZ pricing

19 January 2026

The seamless performance, luxury and ownership rewards of the new Lexus RZ battery electric SUV are being made available to a wider range of customers with a new pricing. The changes will also deliver ongoing savings in ownership costs to make the recently launched model an even stronger proposition.

Significantly, the new RZ range now provides six model options – the entire RZ 350e front-wheel drive line-up – priced below the new proposed £50,000 Expensive Car Supplement threshold for Vehicle Excise Duty. This is due to come into effect on 1 April, but will be backdated to 1 April 2025, so vehicles purchased now will qualify for the new rate when it comes into effect. When launched, the exemption will save owners £425 in VED costs each year from their second to sixth year of vehicle ownership.

In addition to this benefit, monthly PCP payments for new vehicles will decrease and it is anticipated that customers who pay BIK company car tax will also enjoy a reduction in their annual bill.

The RZ has been a consistently strong performer in Lexus’s growing electrified model range, its appeal strengthened by a programme of significant technology and performance enhancements introduced in autumn 2025. Today’s RZ benefits from a comprehensively revised powertrain and higher capacity battery that deliver both an extended driving range and faster, consistent charging performance.

In addition, increased body rigidity, retuned suspension and an evolution of Lexus’s DIRECT4 all-wheel drive system contribute to greater driving rewards, handling poise and ride comfort.

Throughout, the new RZ continues to exemplify Lexus’s signature takumi hand-crafted luxury and omotenashi hospitality principles to create an ideal on-board experience for driver and all passengers alike.
