Lexus reveals the fifth generation of the RX, a completely reinvented model that opens a new chapter for the original luxury SUV.
The new RX delivers advanced connectivity and features a 14” touchscreen as standard, one of the largest in its class. Alongside the standard embedded navigation system, the new RX also provides cloud services as standard. The car’s DCM (Data Communication Module) offers always-on connectivity, including live information on traffic events, accidents and road conditions.
The new multimedia system includes the smart voice assistant ‘Hey Lexus’. Easy smartphone integration is provided as standard – wireless for Apple CarPlayTM and with a wired connection for Android AutoTM. A wireless charging tray is available, with improved performance.
The design of new RX has evolved to become more dynamic and confident. The front spindle grille is integrated into the face of the car and the headlights are sleeker. The extended bonnet, longer wheelbase (by 6cm), lower roofline (by 1cm) and bigger, 21” wheels contribute to a dynamic and bold look. Full-width taillights with integrated Lexus name and wider rear track (by 4cm) further confirm the strong road presence of new RX.
New RX provides ample space for all occupants and five luxury seats with excellent legroom. With increased couple distance, newly designed seats and more intelligent packaging, the RX feels roomier inside Thanks to intelligent tailgate design, the luggage compartment is now 50mm longer and loading height is 30mm lower for an easier access.
The smoothness and efficiency of the RX self-charging hybrid model has been improved with the introduction of 4th generation technology. A 2.5 litre drivetrain provides 244 DIN hp and 0-62 mph acceleration in 8.0 seconds*.

The RX 450h+ features a four-cylinder 2.5-litre hybrid engine and a rechargeable lithium-ion battery with 18.1 kWh. An additional rear electric motor enables full-time all-wheel drive. The lithium battery delivers pure electric driving range of up to 40 miles*.

The game-changing new RX 500h performance hybrid is the first-ever Lexus turbo-charged hybrid. With power delivered by a completely new hybrid architecture consisting of a 2.4 litre turbo engine and 6-speed automatic transmission, the RX 500h delivers 371 DIN hp* and 645 Nm of torque for responsive acceleration and superb dynamic handling thanks to DIRECT 4.
DIRECT 4 is an intelligent AWD system that constantly balances the power and torque between the front and rear axles in any driving situation, automatically and seamlessly shifting the drive force between the 2 axles in milliseconds- faster than any mechanical system.

Accentuating RX’s sporty credentials, the F SPORT will be offered on the RX 500h performance hybrid. The F SPORT features enhancements such as the execution of the front grille, skirts and the aerodynamic front and rear bumpers. The shape of the F SPORT front seats’ ensures a better hold. They are available in Black & Dark Rose colour. Aluminium ornamentation further underlines the sporty character of the interior. In addition, the F SPORT grade benefits from a range of dynamic enhancements including more dynamic tuning of the suspension and more powerful brakes.
