The all-new Mazda CX-6e is set to offer fleets a competitive proposition in the electric SUV market, with new CAP data placing its residual values ahead of several key rivals ahead of its UK arrival this November.
According to CAP Gold Book figures for October 2026, the range-topping CX-6e Takumi 190kW is forecast to retain 55% of its value after three years and 30,000 miles. This places it ahead of competitors including the Changan Deepal S07 Ultra (46.3%), Kia EV6 Air (41%), MG MG6 Trophy (45%) and Audi Q4 e-tron Performance (37.1%). It also compares favourably with the Tesla Model Y, which holds a forecast residual value of 58.5%.
Strong residual values are an important consideration for fleet operators and company car drivers, helping to reduce whole-life costs and improve the overall cost-effectiveness of vehicle ownership and leasing.
Ahead of the launch, Mazda has also conducted a national roadshow, presenting a left-hand-drive CX-6e to some of the UK's largest contract hire companies. Residual value specialists and asset management teams were invited to assess the new model, with feedback reportedly positive across its styling, build quality, market positioning, driving range, specification and pricing.
Alex Janes, Head of Fleet at Mazda Motors UK, said the CX-6e represents an important step for the brand, expanding its presence in the large electric SUV segment and strengthening its appeal to corporate customers and user-choosers. He also highlighted the positive response from contract hire partners and the confidence shown by CAP's residual value forecasts.
The CX-6e will arrive in the UK this November, available in two highly specified grades: the Takumi, priced from £42,990, and the Takumi Plus, from £45,350.
Following the introduction of the Mazda6e, the CX-6e further advances Mazda's electrification strategy, giving fleet operators another option in the increasingly competitive electric SUV market.
