OMODA&JAECOO UK continued its strong growth in August, recording 6,238 new vehicle registrations and securing a 6.62% share of the UK new-car market, according to the latest figures from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT).
The result is particularly notable given August is traditionally a quieter month ahead of the September registration-plate change. It follows a landmark period for the dual-brand house, which has now surpassed 100,000 cumulative UK sales in less than two years, with combined registrations reaching 67,971 in 2026.
The JAECOO 7 remained one of the brand's strongest performers, recording 2,022 registrations in August and ranking second among the UK's ten best-selling models for the month. The family SUV continues to demonstrate strong appeal among private customers, combining its spacious SUV format with a choice of electrified powertrains.
The more compact JAECOO 5 also delivered a strong result, with 1,670 registrations and a fourth-place position in the UK's top ten. Meanwhile, the OMODA 5 recorded 1,465 registrations across its petrol, SHS-H full hybrid and fully electric versions.
The performance of the JAECOO 5 and OMODA 5 is particularly encouraging from a fleet perspective, with both models proving popular among business customers. Their combination of competitive pricing, SUV practicality and a choice of petrol, hybrid and electric powertrains gives fleet operators greater flexibility when selecting vehicles to suit different driver requirements and operating patterns.
OMODA&JAECOO is also continuing to invest in the wider ownership experience as its UK presence grows. The manufacturer has expanded its existing partnership with the RAC, which already provides complimentary 24/7 roadside assistance for up to seven years, with support also available across mainland Europe.
The latest development introduces a dedicated Vehicle Off Road (VOR) operation designed to provide additional support when a vehicle cannot be repaired at the roadside. A specialist OMODA&JAECOO team is now based at the RAC's Walsall headquarters, managing cases through recovery, repair and completion while coordinating parts availability and communication between customers, retailers and repair teams.
The enhanced partnership is also expanding OMODA&JAECOO's mobile aftersales capability. The RAC's nationwide network of 400 Mobile Mechanics can carry out approved warranty repairs and recall work at customers' homes or workplaces, reducing the need for unnecessary retailer visits.
This additional service could be particularly valuable to fleet operators, where vehicle downtime can have a direct impact on business operations. The RAC can establish mobile servicing bays at company premises, allowing warranty and recall work to be completed while employees remain at work and vehicles remain close to their usual operating locations.
For OMODA&JAECOO, the combination of continued sales growth, an expanding range of petrol, hybrid and fully electric models, and increased investment in aftersales support underlines the manufacturer's ambitions in the UK market.
As the retailer network continues to grow and more vehicles enter the UK parc, the strengthened RAC partnership provides additional reassurance for both private and business customers, while helping OMODA&JAECOO deliver a more complete ownership proposition beyond the initial vehicle purchase.
