As part of an all-encompassing response to the rapid changes of the new energy era, JAECOO has an advanced electrification strategy underpinned by innovative technology. In support of this, the JAECOO J7 PHEV made its global debut at the Beijing AutoShow.
The J7 PHEV builds on the existing All Road Drive Intelligent System (ARDIS), adding an electrified experience. In addition to seven driving modes for scenarios like desert, mud and snow, the J7 features six further mode options: power, energy efficiency, low carbon, safety, all-wheel drive off-roading, smart technology and outdoor living.
The exterior features concealed door handles and newly-designed 19-inch enclosed low-drag wheels, together reducing the drag coefficient to 0.318 and enhancing efficiency. In terms of range, the J7 PHEV can achieve an all-electric range of up to 55 miles and, in HEV mode, fuel consumption of 57.6 mpg. With a full tank and battery, the total range that can be achieved is over 745 miles.
The J7 PHEV is equipped with the fifth-generation hybrid-specific 1.5 TGDI engine, achieving a thermal efficiency of 44.5%. Paired with the 1DHT150 transmission, the power unit produces a combined power of 347 PS and a combined torque of 525 Nm.
