The Jaecoo 5 (J5) Petrol (ICE) variant features 2 trim levels, PURE and LUXURY
Like the larger J7, the J5 features a bold, assertive design combining modern styling cues with rugged touches. The prominent JAECOO grille flows seamlessly into the slim headlights, lending the vehicle plenty of presence. The generous ground clearance and subtly pronounced wheel arches underscore the J5’s adventurous personality. At the rear, an upmarket lightbar incorporates the taillights and ‘JAECOO’ nameplate, while the refined rear bumper integrates neatly with the bodywork.
JAECOO 5 (J5) INTERIOR
The boot of the Jaecoo 5 has a capacity of 480 litres in the standard configuration. The rear bench then folds down in a 60:30 configuration to a total of 1,180 litres.
Among other things, there is a generous double floor and a 12V charging socket. Climbing aboard in the rear seats, there is more than enough space for both knees and headroom for the occupants. The materials used for upholstery and assembly are good.
There are also two air vents, a 12V socket and other thoughtful touches such as pockets behind the seats, rear handles or a huge panoramic roof with 1.45 square metres of surface area.
A standout feature of the J5 is its emphasis on "human-pet travel," prioritising a healthy and comfortable experience for four-legged companions. The interior includes specially extended seats designed with pets in mind, enhancing their comfort and safety.
Furthermore, JAECOO’s engineers have developed an air conditioning system with a powerful filtration system. It can isolate pet hair, maintaining a fresh and clean air supply to the cabin. The intelligent climate control system adjusts to occupant needs in real time, altering the temperature onboard at a moment’s notice. Other features aimed at pet owners include specially crafted boarding steps for smaller pets and a pet-feeding system.
Prepared for any adventure, the J5 comes with an impressive towing capacity of 1,250 kg and a roof rack that can carry up to 75 kg.
Other features include camping lights, factory-installed hooks in the cargo area, and a charging port that can accommodate all the necessary accessories one might take camping or on outdoor trips.
