The new LEAF now has real presence, thanks to its assertive stance and enhanced good looks. The car’s front fascia is bolder and more pronounced than before with sleek headlights forming a part of a striking V-shaped design. The nose of the car is especially striking, consisting of what Nissan describes as a ‘3D mesh pattern’, with the marque’s badge at its centre.
The top half of the vehicle is finished in colour that contrasts with the main body, creating a slick, ‘floating roof’ appearance, which culminates in a smart-looking roof spoiler. Dark-tinted rear windows and a black tailgate lid complete the stylish picture. The five-door LEAF features larger tail lights than before, adding further to the car’s strikingly handsome looks.
The new LEAF's cabin has been also been substantially modernised with, for example, a much more impactful centre console, which is topped with a touchscreen display. All-in-all, there is a much classier look and feel to the interior, with higher quality materials being utilised to good effect. It’s also practical as well as attractive; for instance, a 435-litre boot space represents an increase of 65 litres on that offered by the first-generation model.
