The MG5 EV kicks off the year with two industry awards.

The MG5 EV was named ‘Best Electric Estate Car’ in the What Car? Car of the Year Awards 2023. The prestigious awards ceremony took place at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House Hotel in London on 19 th January, showcasing the best the motor industry has to offer.

The MG5 EV has also been revealed as a winner at the carwow Buy It awards, as part of their annual honours celebrating the best cars tested this year.

When announcing the MG5 EV as a winner, carwow commented it was rare for an EV to offer as much value for money as the new, all-electric estate car.

“Electric estates are a real rarity, so it’s a relief that the main one on offer is a practical, affordable and easy to live with as the MG5,” said carwow’s Mat Watson. “It feels nice and solid inside, is surprisingly good to drive and there’s loads of space in the boot. There aren’t many EVs that offer this much car for so little cash.”

The MG5 EV is a fully electric estate car allowing up to 250 miles of range from a single charge. With the MG5 EV you benefit from both a standard type-2 charging plug and a CCS fast charging plug, capable of charging at 50kw or 80kw for the MG5 Long Range. A rapid 50kw charger can take the MG5 EV from empty to 80% charge in approximately 45 minutes. A fast 7kw charger, as typically installed at home can fully charge from empty to full in approximately 8.5 hours. The new MG5 EV Long Range now also features vehicle to load charging capability allowing you to charge or power other electrical items using the car's battery pack.

The MG5 EV is available to test drive and order at RRG MG Stockport. View our latest MG5 EV offers online or contact our specialists for more information.
