Non-Productive Workshop Controller

A full-time experienced Non-Productive Workshop Controller is required to join our busy Toyota Dealership in Rochdale which is part of the wider RRG Group.

Job Description:

The Workshop Controller is responsible for the daily control of the workshop in order to maintain a high level of productivity, quality and ‘right first time’ repair. You will be required to run an efficient operation ensuring customer satisfaction and retention through achieving maximum utilisation of workshop facilities, as well as overseeing and motivating all workshop colleagues.

Your will be responsible for maintaining external supplier relationships as well as covering Service Advisor duties as and when required. You will also actively contribute to the implementation of safe work practices and security within the department.

Tasks Required:

• Ensuring optimum efficiency from the technicians through the workshop and ensuring quality control
• Job card preparation and control of prep work including invoicing
• Chasing parts eta
• Ensuring crs focus is maintained in the workshop
• Monitoring aircon / 4 wheel alignment penetration
• Holiday cover on the Service desk
• Approve any warranty work found

Experience Required:

This role would suit an existing workshop controller or a Service Advisor or Technician looking for their next step. If you work in a main franchise dealership, with the ability to manage the grown and development of a workshop and have experience at developing relationships with customers and colleagues this role is for you. You will have the drive and determination to maintain a productive department and the ability to work under pressure and achieve results through other people. An up to date knowledge of vehicle service repairs and maintenance preferred.

Working Hours:

Your normal working hours will be Monday to Friday 8:00am through to 5:30pm with half an hour unpaid break for your lunch; you will also be required to work every other Saturday 8:30am through to 1:00pm.

Remuneration:

Basic salary up to £30,000 depending on experience
