RRG in the community

The RRG Group has a proud history of giving something back and is no stranger to supporting local communities, charities and educational organisations.

We have worked with BEP (Business Education Partnership) alongside The Salford Foundation to support their programmes of linking businesses with education. The primary focus is to develop and practice enterprise skills such as communication, team work, problem solving, planning and to build confidence. All of the enterprise activities follow a common process whereby students are set a challenge and they work in small groups to find solution.

Working as Volunteers, recently members of the HR Team worked in local schools to support a number of different workshops such as Personal Finance & World of Work, Mock Interviews and supporting ‘Transition Days’ for pupils who will shortly be ready to make the step into high school.

We work closely with Cornerstone which is a day centre based in Salford providing services to adults facing a wide range of social issues including homelessness, poverty, social isolation, drug and alcohol addiction.Their aim being to offer support to clients, improve their prospects and enhance their quality of life. Employees can opt to have an amount of money deducted from their monthly salary which is paid directly to this worthwhile charity.

In June 2015, 8 of our employees completed a Charity Bike Ride starting out from Salford Quays and finishing at Land’s End.All funds raised went to MacMillan in memory of our dear friend and colleague Ian Rimmer.

Our centres also regularly take part in the MacMillan World's biggest coffee morning

In June 2014 we held our first RRG Ribbon Ball which was one of our biggest and most significant charity events. We were able to raise over £17,000 which went to support three Breast Cancer charities: Genesis, Breast Cancer Care and Paddlers for Life Manchester.

BBC Children in Need provide support to disadvantaged children in the UK through local and national charities. This includes children who have experienced mental, physical or sensory disabilities; those who are living in poverty or in situations of deprivation or suffering distress, abuse or neglect.

The RRG Group and in particular our Peugeot centres have been staunch supporters of Children in Need over the years with many fundraising activities taking place including cycle rides from Peugeot Head Office in Paris to the UK Head Office in Coventry.
