How long have you been in your current role and is that the role you started in when you joined RRG?
I’ve been in my current role 5 years next march and I have worked for RRG for 14 years. I started out as an apprentice panel beater and have worked my way up through various roles to assistant general manager. Apprentice panel beater, qualified panel beater, quality control supervisor, vda qualified vehicle body damage assessor, assistant general manager.
What does your role entail in a couple of sentences?
I run and maintain all the day to day aspects of the body shop to pas125 standard, making sure the quality of the work is second to none and customer satisfaction is delivered.
Do you enjoy working with the people you do?
I have a great working relationship with all members of staff and I've been lucky enough to have worked with most of our team for many of the 14 years as most of our staff have been here as long as me if not longer
What’s the most rewarding part of the job?
Knowing you have delivered a first class service and customer satisfaction throughout the whole of the repair process
Do you feel you have a good and supportive environment within the Group?
Yes I’ve been supported and encouraged throughout out my career at RRG
Is career progression important for you? Do you feel you get the support for this?
Yes career progression is very important to me as I want to go as far as possible and fulfill my potential. I feel that my hard work along the way has been recognized and I hope the support will continue as I still have a lot more to give

Being promoted to Assistant manager
Funniest thing you’ve seen in your job?
Probably myself doing a Michael Jackson spin in the workshop and falling over.... didn’t get much sympathy off the lads on the shop floor though!
If you weren’t Assistant General Manager at Accident Repair Centre Pendlebury what would your ideal job be?
I would have probably pursued a career in the fire service
