The Nissan 370z is an affordable coupé that can match most lifestyles whilst delivering world-beating performance and speed thanks to an extremely powerful engine.
The Nissan 370z is a beautiful example of how to style a sports coupé. The cabin is set well back and flows down into a long, elegant bonnet that hides the monstrous V6 engine. Meanwhile the 370z's muscular bodywork hints at the power that lies just beneath the surface, as do the 19-inch alloy wheels. The boomerang-shaped front and rear light casings make sure that the 370z lingers in the memory, even after it has inevitably passed by at speed, whilst the NISMO trim package adds an even bolder bodykit style, red detailing and a sports exhaust.
The interior of the Nissan 370z is a mixture of racing practicality and luxury. For example, the driver's seat is well-padded and bolstered, but it also comes with powered adjustments. Higher-trim specs can also include a soft leather that provides extra grip. In a clever touch, the instrument dials have been made to move with the steering wheel to maintain an excellent line of sight at all times. The 370z comes with climate control, Bluetooth and MP3 player connectivity as standard, whilst the GT trim spec comes with an additional CD changer and heated seats.
As the Nissan 370z is unashamedly a sports coupé, it's fair to say that it favours grunt and raw power over refinement. Put simply, it’s never going to be the most eco-friendly car on the road, and in fact the engine emissions register between 248g/km and 245g/km of CO2 depending on whether you have a manual or automatic gearbox. As far as power and speed go however, the 370z throws itself into the performance coupé market with gusto, thanks to a 3.7-litre V6 engine that draws on 326bhp to drive the rear wheels. The 370z will leap from 0-60mph in a blistering 5.5 seconds.
The 370z comes with a raft of safety features as standard. There are active headrests and six airbags in total, including front and side airbags, although the NISMO trim also offers side-curtain airbags. ABS is included across the range, as is a pop-up bonnet which will deploy in the event of a collision, to reduce any injury caused to pedestrians.
