The stylish, low emissions crossover
The Kia XCeed Plug-in Hybrid is a rarity in the compact family car class, offering the virtues of a stylish, well-equipped crossover vehicle, combined with the efficiency and low emissions of a plug-in hybrid vehicle.
In its EV mode, the Kia XCeed Plug-in Hybrid is capable of travelling up to 36 miles and takes 2 hours and 15 minutes to recharge the battery pack to 100 per cent using a 3.3kW AC charger.
Regenerative braking harvests kinetic energy that recharges your battery pack while coasting or braking. The Coasting Guide analyses your route to let you know when to take your foot off the pedal. The Virtual Engine Sound System activates in electric-only mode to safely alert pedestrians of your presence.
Enjoy the convenience of easy charging from a household socket or at a public charging station. At an AC Charge charging station, you can recharge the battery (up to 100%) in approximately 2 hours 15 minutes. Easily visilble from outside the vehicle 3 LED lights in the middle of the dashboard tell you the charging status and battery level.
Ecological, Economical and Dynamic
The new powertrain combines an 8.9kWh lithium-polymer battery pack, a 44.5kW electric motor and an efficient 1.6 GDI (gasoline direct injection) engine with a six-speed double-clutch transmission. The output is impressive: a full 141 ps for 0-100kmph acceleration in 10.8 seconds.
The Clever Way to Park
Smart Parking Assist (SPA) controls the steering wheel to help you into parallel and perpendicular parking spaces. SPA also lends a hand when departing from a parallel parking space. All you have to do is control the speed and shift gears. (Image shown is the All-New Kia XCeed for illustration purposes of SPA)
Blind Spot Collision Warning (BCW)
Blind-Spot Collision Warning (BCW) uses radar to monitor your blind spots, warning you of approaching cars with a warning sound and a symbol on the side-view mirror. (Image shown is the All-New Kia XCeed for illustration purposes for BCW)
