The new-generation CX-5 has been unveiled at Los Angeles Motor Show this week, Mazda has not only introduced a series of upgrades but it has developed the favourites overall practicality.
To begin, the updated model is 10mm longer and 15mm lower than it's predecessor along with other small changes that make the CX-5 a lot more practical. Fitted with a seven-inch touch LCD display, sharper and more intelligent than before. Passengers in the back seats get a slightly lower hip point, and the option of rear seat heaters and rear cabin climate control vents.
'Under the skin, Mazda has tweaked the 2.2-litre diesel and 2.0-litre petrol engines, although it has yet to provide any revised performance or fuel consumption data. The firm says that modifications to the chassis have increased torsional rigidity by 15.5 per cent, and helped to reduce low-frequency road noise to make conversations about 10 per cent clearer at 60mph.'
